Farm Credit Foundation Announces New Scholarship Program

The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement will be awarding a total of $100,000 in scholarships to students who are planning to attend or are currently enrolled as full-time students at a college, university, or technical school, planning to pursue a career in agriculture. The deadline for all applications and supporting materials is January 13, 2017.

"We are thrilled to announce the formation of the Foundation and its scholarship program," says Sandy Wieber, spokesperson for the Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement. The non-profit Foundation was formed in 2015, funded by participating association MidAtlantic Farm Credit.

The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement's scholarship program will award ten scholarships in 2017, each valued at $10,000. This program is open to high school seniors or students currently enrolled in a two or four year educational program. The applicants must be planning to pursue a career in agriculture and reside in MidAtlantic Farm Credit's five-state territory.
