Extension Hosting Free Chronic Disease Self-Management Class
Missouri Ag Connection - 03/20/2017

University of Missouri Extension, in partnership with the Barton County Health Department, is offering a free class for individuals with chronic conditions such as obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, arthritis, depression, anxiety and more.

The six-week class will help participants learn ways to self-manage their condition and take back control over their health. Participants will also enjoy a safe, social environment where they can connect with others going through similar life situations.

If you take care of a loved one with a chronic condition, this free class will be beneficial too.

Classes start on March 28 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Barton County MU Extension Center (Wolf Building) 801 E 12th St. in Lamar.

To register or for questions, call Lindsey Stevenson at 417-682-3579 or e-mail stevensonlk@missouri.edu.
