Missouri Ag Connection - 01/26/2024

The Missouri Soybean Association (MSA) held its annual meeting this week in Jefferson City, where farmer-leaders were elected to guide the organization in 2024.

Renee Fordyce, a soybean grower and rural health professional from Bethany, was elected president. This marks her first term in the top leadership role, although she has served on the board for over ten years in various positions, including vice president.

"I'm honored to be entrusted with this leadership role," said Fordyce. "MSA is committed to grower engagement, and I encourage all members to share their concerns and recommendations as we move forward."

Brooks Hurst, a farmer from Tarkio, was re-elected as vice president. The board's leadership team is made up of Cody Brock (secretary) and Garrett Riekhof (treasurer).

Matt Wright, the outgoing president, was recognized for his decade-long service to the association. He will continue to serve on the board as a farmer-leader. "Leading MSA has been an incredible privilege," said Wright. "I'm confident the new board has the knowledge, skills, and dedication to keep the association moving forward."

Additional board members include:
